a lot of computer companies are having defficulty competing with dell because they think they competing with a computer company. the truth of the matter is, they are competing with a bank. let me explain. first you have dell computer here within the middle. and they have a bunch of companies supplying them with products. so around here will be a compay that makes harddrives like quantum, or mayby somebody like Intel that makes processors, or different makers that make power supplies. all the parts going to computer. now when you call on the telephone, here's your telephone, you call in to dell and say "I would like to have a nice little desktop computer, they take these parts just arrive, just moments before you made that phone call. and they assemble the computer, and they ship it back to you. here's a little box, dell on it, it's got that sideways.. i can't introduce it here.. but you get this box. it turns out all of these parts that went into that box, dell doesn't have to pay for those parts, for at least another 30 days. meanwhile they already have your money 'cause you gave them you credit card, little security code on it, everything. they took your money already. this is why we call them the bank of dell. they're making so much money on the flow. they don't have to worry about making a profit on the actual parts and all of the computers and everything. now if you're IBM, or you're HP. here's IBM and HP. you have no way of competing withthis model because you think computing with computer company.. well indeed you're competing with a bank. ok? it's very hard to compete with a bank when you are a computer company. IBM has nothing like this set up. neither is HP. so what does ibm do? well ibm says we're gonna send the whole pc operation over to china. and what's left is, they make a bunch of servers. now if you ask me, hp is not far behind. those guys are on a significanlt amount of stress. they've just let go over there ceo carly fiorina. they're gonna have to figure out how to restructure all company to survive. or that means they're gonna probably send their pc over somewhere. maybe singapol, india, or somewhere else like that. then what's next? well dell does all the same stuff with their servers too. so pretty soon push the servers to china for ibm. and the servers for hp over to singapol. and next thing you know. they got one big mass of computer company. i'm sorry, the bank in united states, we call it dell computer.
